Campers transform natural and recycled materials into art while exploring local ecosystems and interacting with animal ambassadors.
Eco Innovators camp offers a hands-on experience where campers delve into the world of upcycling, transforming everyday objects into unique art pieces. They explore local flora and fauna, connecting with nature through sensory art activities and building challenges. A key component of the camp involves becoming "alchemists of color," learning to extract natural pigments from plants to create their own vibrant art supplies. Campers utilize mixed media, recycled materials, and natural finds to construct sturdy eco-habitats, intricate textured collages, and three-dimensional sculptures. The program also includes interactions with animal ambassadors, inspiring campers to create art based on these creatures and their insect friends. This camp fosters creativity, critical thinking, and an understanding of environmental principles through engaging, playful, and hands-on projects.
A typical day involves hands-on art and science activities, exploring nature, engaging in building challenges, and creating art with natural and recycled materials.
This camp is ideal for young artists, makers, and thinkers aged 6-8 who are curious about nature, enjoy hands-on projects, and are interested in sustainability and creative expression.
