This hands-on Intro to Engineering Summer Camp, a collaboration between ICA Cristo Rey Academy and the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) at UC Berkeley, is designed for girls aged 9–16. Campers will delve into the fundamentals of civil and environmental engineering through interactive activities, field trips, and experiential learning. The curriculum explores real-world engineering challenges and introduces various civil and environmental engineering disciplines, including Construction Systems, Energy, Civil Infrastructure and Climate, Environmental Engineering, GeoSystems (Geoengineering), Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Materials, Systems (Civil Systems), and Transportation Engineering. Participants will gain practical skills, spark curiosity, and foster creativity in the engineering field.
