About this camp

In the Asteroid Adventures camp, 3rd and 4th graders embark on an out-of-this-world journey through the Solar System to explore the asteroid belt. Campers will gain knowledge about asteroid surfaces and the engineering challenges associated with landing on them. They will utilize creativity and engineering skills to design and construct their own rovers and landing gear, which they will then use to tackle a chosen asteroid. Throughout the program, participants will uncover secrets of our Solar System and test their inventions, much like real space engineers. The camp aims to inspire interest in STEM fields by providing access to various science disciplines and interactive exhibits at the Lawrence Hall of Science.

What a typical day looks like
