This two-week immersive program for high school students focuses on the fundamentals of engineering through hands-on projects and real-world applications. Students explore mechanical, structural, civil, and biomedical engineering disciplines. Activities include designing and manufacturing an artificial limb to replicate natural function and movement, and constructing a scale model structure compliant with code, zoning, and budget requirements. The curriculum emphasizes developing 3D solutions to design challenges and learning from professionals about the latest advancements in engineering and technology. During week one, students have class from 9am-12pm, Monday - Friday. During week two, students have class from 9am-12pm Monday through Thursday, with Wednesday afternoons dedicated to additional academic time, including excursions and speakers.
