About this camp

The Stanford Lifestyle Medicine High School Summer Program is a four-week, remote program designed for rising high school juniors and seniors interested in healthcare or wellness. Students will explore the seven pillars of lifestyle medicine: Movement & Exercise, Healthful Nutrition, Restorative Sleep, Stress Management, Social Engagement, Cognitive Enhancement, and Gratitude & Purpose. The program features interactive lessons, expert-led discussions with Stanford Lifestyle Medicine experts, and a final capstone project. Students will gain skills in scientific research and communication, practice motivational interviewing, and learn how lifestyle factors contribute to overall health and well-being. The curriculum also includes a "Crash Course in Lifestyle Medicine Research" and an "Ask a Doc" series with a Sports Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine Pediatrician. By the end of the program, students will be equipped to make informed decisions about their own health and inspire positive change in their communities, with selected capstone projects potentially featured on the Stanford Lifestyle Medicine website.
